Terrafix Solar Tracking System
The Terrafix Solar Tracking System (Patented), allows solar panel arrays located on the contours of a hill or natural amphitheater, parallel to the earths azimuth to be adjusted altitude wise to glean maximum advantage of the solar rays available as the sun passes overhead each day. As the sun rises, the panels are angled obtusely to the ground to catch the first light, then as the day unfolds & the sun passes overhead during the middle of the day, the movement of the solar panels is precisely controlled to follow the maximum output from the sun, as the sun passes overhead, towards sunset, the face of the solar panels continues to follow the path of maximum solar energy until the sun goes down.
Each lateral grouping of panels is connected by a series of cardan shafts & universal joints which couple to a servo motor at one end of each array, this in turn is controlled from the solar park management computer system via feedback from a bank of photocell sender units that constantly collect sun ray data.
